About the Community Connectors network

A network of trained volunteers across Elmbridge was launched in 2026 to strengthen the borough’s voluntary sector.

The programme brings together the volunteers’ local knowledge and the Connect to Surrey Support Directory to:

  • link residents to the right local support services, community groups and wellbeing resources
  • make sure no one is left without support

The overall aim is to make it easier for people to get help, stay connected and feel part of their community.

Aims of the programme

Through the programme, we aim to:

  • improve social and community connection, reduce isolation and improve wellbeing
  • make it easier for people to find reliable help, support and information
  • build a strong network of trusted local volunteers

Who can get support

Anyone living in Elmbridge can use the programme.

By speaking to a Community Connector, residents can:

  • explore what help is available
  • find support that fits their needs
  • feel more informed and connected

Local Area Co-ordinators

While Community Connectors help residents through signposting to support and services, Local Area Coordinators provide more in-depth, ongoing support for residents with more complex needs.

There are Local Area Co-ordinators for the following areas:

  • Claygate and The Dittons
  • Cobham
  • Hersham
  • Molesey
  • Walton Central and East
  • Walton North and Molesey Heath
  • Weybridge
