Community Connectors offer light-touch support by listening to and understanding individual needs so that they can help you explore local services groups and community resources.
What Community Connectors do
Community Connectors can:
- listen and talk through what matters to you
- share information about local activities, services and support
- help you feel more confident finding and accessing help
- signpost you to the right place if you need more specialised support
Community Connectors are not a replacement for professional services.
They do not:
- give advice
- make referrals on your behalf
- provide ongoing casework
- replace professional services
Where Community Connectors are based
Community Connectors are not based in a single location. You may come across them through Elmbridge community hubs, local organisations, voluntary and community groups or other local services.
Community Connectors volunteer or work within local community organisations and regularly interact with residents as part of their roles. By building on these interactions, Community Connectors can identify additional needs and signpost residents to relevant services, support and opportunities within the community.
